Jasper was brought to the shelter as an older pup, along with his sister, Jade, after being found on the streets so nothing much is known about his history. Jasper loves running around with the other dogs, but can be quite skittish with strangers, so needs someone to build up his confidence and trust in people with lots of patience and probably lots of yummy treats to help!

The shelter really isn't the best place for a dog like Jasper - it would be some much easier to earn his trust in a calmer environment with less people and other dogs. It is heartbreaking that Jasper is so standoffish and reluctant to be touched and he would really benefit from going somewhere quieter where he can learn to trust again, perhaps with another confident dog that he can learn from and with people who understand that he needs plenty of time, patience and understanding...
